Now, when it comes to planning a wedding if there's one imposing issue on most modern day couples, it's that worry of budget and sticking to it while planning your big day. It's a well known fact that the cost of an average wedding in the UK is increasing every year and so a lot of brides on a budget would still like to have the best quality but at a fraction of the price.
A lot of brides on a budget would still like to have the best quality but at a fraction of the price.
Is it possible to still have luxury and quality stationery items for your wedding day, without breaking the bank? Of course it is, it's just a case of making the right decisions along the way to ensure this is a possibility. I love to meet my couples and find out about their journey and how they met. I also like to make sure I provide options when I send quotes so they can make a decision and see if it's possible for them financially, I'll always be as flexible as possible with suggestions as I remember how I felt when I needed wedding stationery for my very own wedding day.
I've compiled together below, a list for a budget savvy bride to be able to still get that luxury finesse on their invites, envelopes etc without having to spend an extortionate amount, here's how:
The options on wax seals are endless, I offer these in a range of seven colours, everything from silver, gold, green gold, bronze right through to black, white and red. There is a more expensive option available if you want to really personalise stationery and go for a custom wax seal stamp. However, these are cost-effective and the best thing about them is that they are self-adhesive wax seal stickers so can be applied by the bride and groom themselves to any items they wish to do so. There are two designs currently on my store but these are forever expanding, I offer a carnation wax seal and also a mr & mrs wax seal stamp, these are perfect for sending out wedding invitations, or adding a touch of luxury to name place cards and can be purchased here. If you want to send out your invites/save the dates in style without paying a fortune, you can opt for these personalised envelopes. Another way to do things if you want to further keep costs down is by sending these addressed envelopes to immediate family for that extra special personalised touch, you won't be disappointed. Available in three colours online but do ask if any come to mind that aren't visible. Shop Now
Luxury is all in the look and feel of your wedding stationery, if an invite is printed on a cheap stock it looks and feels cheap to those receiving it. If you opt for something like a kraft brown paper or a textured invitation, like my favourite 'tintoretto gesso' textured card it just adds that more expensive quality to your stationery and it actually works out cheaper than going for a standard laminate finish. Shop my invitations to have a look at the textured options available. Shop Now
As well as thinking about luxury stationery being just for your actual wedding day, there are also budget gifting items that can be purchased for any brides to be or you can even treat yourself. These little copper foiled notepads are great for keeping notes in while planning for your big day and they're also handbag sized which is ideal as can be taken on the go to any wedding meetings to tackle all wedmin. There are two colourways, it all depends what style suits you more. Shop Now
If you’re not sure how to use vellum paper within your wedding stationery then there are a few options. You can of course opt for vellum within a save the date, or you can wrap your invite with these luxury vellum wraps. They’re 140gsm in weight and really give that premium finish to sending out your invites as well as the fact you can opt to add on a wax seal to really seal the deal. Shop Now
If you love a metallic finish on your invitations but don’t have an excessive budget, digital foiling is a perfect option for you. This service is available in a range of colours, I offer gold, silver, copper and rose gold and this can be done to all lettering on your invitations. It looks very expensive and really adds that extra special finish to an invite, and when it hits the light, it really stands out. All of my collections can be customised to incorporate foil if this is what you have in mind or you can request a bespoke order, just drop the details into the form. Shop Now

If you want to finish off your name place cards with a piece of silk ribbon or string and attach them to your menus also, why not add an eyelet finish. This can be great when you’re thinking of adding a tassel or a silk bow to any of your stationery items. Again, I offer this in silver gold and copper if you really like the look of this. These are reinforced with metal to add strength to your card of choice rather than just punching a whole which will tear very quickly without opting for the strength of an eyelet, and not to mention it looks pretty stunning also! If florals and patterns aren’t really your thing, then you will love a minimalist wedding invitation. For those who aren’t sure of what this means, it’s a very monochrome wedding theme, nothing overly fussy and very simplistic and contemporary. I have a few suites perfect for this trend, there’s the Hampton Collection and the Parisian Collection which, the Ochre Collection can also be transformed if the colour is changed from ochre to black and white which is definitely possible. Minimalist wedding stationery is a celebration of classic typography on a plain background which is timeless and very on trend. Shop Now
As well as the core wedding stationery suite, there are so many other items within your wedding stationery journey. A very important moment is choosing your bridal party from your best man, ushers, maid of honours to bridesmaids and doing this in style, creates a key memory. Picking your Bridesmaid Proposal card to ask the question to your Bride Tribe is so important, this card pairs script type with the simple ‘Will You Be My Bridesmaid?’ question and it comes with a 100gsm white envelope, ready to give your Bridesmaid. If again, you want to incorporate a lot of different cards into your invite to cover everything from RSVP’s, accommodation, invitations, menu choices, gift details etc. Then the concertina is the perfect invitation style for you. It looks impressive and has a section for each piece of information, all compacted into one package. The last panel can be a tear off RSVP panel which doubles up as a postcard to then send back to the bride and groom with menu choices as well as their RSVP. It can be double sided too so that on the reverse of the concertina you can add further information, it gives a lot more room to fit a whole host of information but done in a stylish way and keeps costs lower, rather than opting for 5 x separate cards to be printed.
